Patuxent Medieval Faire (PAXMF) is dedicated to creating a safe escape from the drudgeries of everyday life, where history meets fantasy. Through immersive entertainment, demonstrations, and craftsmanship, we strive to foster a community dedicated to promoting a magical, often romanticized, version of history and folklore in a safe, respectful environment.

Welcome to Summerseat Farm, where a fantastical medieval village is brought to life by its citizens, and history unfolds in a new storyline each year with visitors from far off realms!  Whether you are enjoying local food and beverage, live music, partaking in local games and live animals, immersing yourself in the story, or looking for a unique trinket for a loved one at our artisan marketplace, there is something for everyone.  Don’t forget to pay tribute to Chessie, the Bay Beast, otherwise your journey may take an unfortunate turn!

Join us for 3 weekends of family friendly fun, whether you are a fair weather citizen of the realm or a die hard faire patron, there is something for everyone at this unique event in the Patuxent corridor of Southern Maryland!
